Any good authentic french recipes? Either appetizers or a light easy to eat main dish. Please help!!!?

My daughter's Girl Scout troupe is having an international day and her group has to bring an authentic French dish. I need something that is kid friendly and all the websites I've checked consisit mainly of goat cheese and wine is usually an ingredient. Does anyone know a dish that a group of kids will like? Any ideas would be appreciated, as I don't think having a bunch of drunk 6 year olds will be encouraged. Help this all American mom get some culture. Thank you.Any good authentic french recipes? croque monsieur, it's just a fancy schmancy frenchy way of saying grilled ham and gruyere sandwich...... but crepes are good also especially smeared with nuttella or ice cream.... it's just a thinner version of a pancake
