Go to the food network's web site. Rachel Ray has a program ';30 minute meals'; that tend to be pretty healthy. Check out her recipes. There's gabunches. (She also has a book of the same title.)
I think you should rethink the ';no bread and no pasta'; rule. Grains are very good for you, and in themselves are not fattening. It's what you put on them that can kill you.
Of course you could serve bread and pasta to the rest of your family without eating it yourself, if you really feel strongly about it.
